Operations Manager - High Voltage Services

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to lead the expansion and development of our High Voltage Field Service (HVFS) team in Townsville. This exciting new role is focused on building and maintaining a high-performance team, while integrating business standards into a newly acquired business to service the top part of eastern Australia.

What you will do:

As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading our HV services team, ensuring that industry-leading standards are met and exceeded. Your role will involve strengthening operational processes, promoting safe working practices, and driving business growth through technical leadership and effective team development. You will initially focus on incorporating best business practices into the new division, fostering a culture of excellence, and guiding the team to achieve greater efficiencies. Over time, you will build and scale the business, growing both the team size and technical capabilities.

We are seeking an individual who has:

• Strong experience and knowledge within the electrical industry, with a particular focus on High Voltage (HV) services.
• A background in the electrical industry or technical field, with a solid understanding of HV equipment, systems, and safety standards.
• Proven leadership skills with a passion for building and mentoring teams, creating a positive and productive workplace culture.
• A demonstrated ability to drive business growth, improve financial performance, and meet key business objectives.
• A commitment to safety, quality, and the well-being of employees and stakeholders.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and departments.
• Experience in scaling teams and operations in a technical environment, particularly in a leadership capacity.
