THE OPPORTUNITY:

This role is responsible for the successful overall development and delivery of technical product training packages to current employees and Ampcontrol customers across the Cable Operations in New South Wales including Ampcontrol Cable Services Illawarra and Thornton.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager Cables, this role will encompass technical training including installation, operation and maintenance of Ampcontrol products specifically related to Cable Repairs. You will be required to travel to other Ampcontrol and customer sites in order to deliver value directly to our employees and customers. You will be responsible for:

  • Develop and deliver training packages in an engaging and interactive manner
  • Scheduling and coordination of all training details including venues / equipment / catering arrangements
  • Drive and support the ongoing development and continual improvement of business systems and processes
  • Evaluation of training and documentation to analyse and evaluate statistics for regular reporting
  • Manage training records and records of training attendances
  • Identify and promote Ampcontrol product offering and training capability to new customer opportunities
  • Maintaining a Training Needs Analysis and overseeing training compliance
  • Ensuring all statutory training is maintained to industry standards
  • Drive a positive learning culture

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

Your willingness to gets hands on delivering training within a fast paced and dynamic environment will be complemented by the following:

  • Demonstrated experience in developing training packages/materials and conducting training sessions to a variety of audiences is essential
  • Electrical trade qualifications (desirable)
  • Previous experience in cable repairs (desirable)
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable)
  • Experience within the Mining and or Manufacturing Industry
  • Previous experience in a product/systems training environment
  • Strong communication skills with a keen ability to present technical information
  • Enthusiasm to learn new technologies/products and the ability to adapt quickly
  • Current driver’s license
