Located in the heart of Hobart, Wells Bodyworks & Towing is a fast-paced, well-established workshop offering a full range of light and heavy vehicle repairs. Our experienced team of 28 skilled professionals is dedicated to delivering top-quality service. With strong partnerships with leading insurers, we offer consistent work from Monday to Friday, with optional overtime available.
The Opportunity
We have exciting opportunities for Panel Beaters and Spray Painters to join the team at Wells Bodyworks, Hobart.
Reporting to the Centre Manager, you will be part of a highly skilled team responsible for restoring vehicles to the highest standard — all powered through our unparalleled technology and equipment.
Role Responsibilities
Panel Beater Responsibilities:
- Check received parts are correct and free of defects.
- Disassemble vehicle as per Job Sheet.
- Repair vehicle as per the Repair Method, OEM standards, and in accordance with Estimate and Job Sheet.
- Reassemble vehicle.
- Handle all vehicles with due care and attention.
- Handle all company tools and equipment with care, ensuring they remain safe, clean, and in working condition.
- Adhere to our OH&S policy including PPE.
Spray Painter Responsibilities:
- Prepare and mask vehicles for painting.
- Mix and apply paints to match OEM standards.
- Use spray booths and drying equipment effectively.
- Polish and finish painted surfaces to a high standard.
- Maintain spray equipment and work area.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards including PPE and ventilation practices.
