The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Diesel Mechanic to join the team at Recar Townsville.

You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy vehicles, to ensure their optimal performance and reliability. Your expertise in diesel engines, mechanical systems, and diagnostics will contribute to our commitment to delivering exceptional service to our clients.

Role responsibilities

  • Diagnose damaged suspension parts and mechanical components
  • Dismantle and fit new mechanical and suspension parts
  • Quality control and inspection of vehicles
  • Test driving vehicles to ensure they meet quality repair standards
  • Carry out system updates to diagnostic computers
  • Label parts and store as per Workshop standards and procedures
  • Check new parts are correct and undamaged
  • Perform any adaptations based on completed diagnoses
  • Clean work bay and workshop areas
