The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for Apprentice Body Builder to join the team at Wales Bus Repairs!

As an Apprentice Body Builder, you will be responsible for repairing damaged heavy vehicles, specifically buses. You will work under the guidance of experienced Body Builders to learn the techniques and skills required to produce high-quality work on large vehicles.

What you will learn:

As an Apprentice Spray Painter at Wales Truck and Body Repairs, you will learn to:

  • Perform inspections and complete damage reports as per company procedures
  • Carry out mechanic diagnosis, repair and replacements as required
  • Perform repairs and refurbishing of recycled parts to required quality standards
  • Ensure no vehicle or component is ever refitted or supplied if not safe to do so
  • Upon request carry out minor/small repairs as per Job Sheet
  • Ensure authorised before proceeding with additional work.
  • Double check new parts are correct and not damaged.  

You will be required to:

  • Follow all safety policies and procedures, ensuring appropriate PPE is worn at all times
  • Handle all company tools and equipment with due care and attention ensuring they remain safe, clean and in a workable condition
  • Complete all course theory work by the due date as required
