The newly integrated Adult and Older Adult Service combines the strengths of AMAH Adult Community Mental Health and Caulfield Aged and Liaison Psychiatry Services. Our mission is to provide comprehensive, person-centred support to adults and older adults through an expansive range of therapeutic, addiction, trauma-informed, and family violence services.
As part of our commitment to the Royal Commission into Victoria’s Mental Health recommendations and the Victorian Mental Health and Wellbeing Act 2022, we’re expanding our offerings to ensure clients benefit from specialist expertise alongside access to innovative, broad-spectrum care options. This includes specialised pathways for substance use disorders, rehabilitation and recovery, physical and mental health integration, and trauma-focused services.

About the Role
You will be responsible for the on-development and implementation of the Early Intervention Psychosocial Support Response (EIPSR), which has been funded by The Department of Health and Human Services. The Alfred contracts two community-managed mental health providers of Mental Health Community Support Service (MHCSS) to provide this service. This role is responsible for the implementation and co-ordination of these services as well as act as the key liaison for the external and internal key stakeholders.
What you've got
- Current Registered professional registration with the Occupational Therapy Board via AHPRA or eligibility for membership through the Australian Association of Social Workers.
- Minimum 5 years’ post graduate experience.
- Experience in a range of mental health interventions indicating an ability to perform community-based mental health assessment including that of risk assessment.
- Previous leadership experience is desirable.
- Be willing to undergo a Background Check
