About us
Alfred Infant Child and Youth Area Mental Health and Wellbeing Service (ICYAMHWS) is friendly to infants, children, young people and their families/carers.
We provide accessible mental health services inclusive of family, friends and support networks.
We are a specialist, multi-disciplinary and intensive care mental health service incorporating the lived and living experience of family peer specialists and youth peer workers.
Our service is divided into two streams: 0-11 and 12-26 years, and includes specialist services in the areas of perinatal care, neurodevelopmental presentations, eating disorders and outreach support.

What you’ll be doing
In this role you will be providing direct case management as well as discipline assessment, intervention and specialist consultation to support young people aged 12 - 26 years with intellectual disabilities and co-occuring mental health disorders. This role requires the psychologist to have some experience in behaviour assessment and intervention and understand the interplay in psychiatric assessment, as well as providing advice on behaviour interventions and associated work with parents and families. In addition, the psychologist will adapt psychological therapies according to the young person's developmental profile to provide them access to meaningful and targeted mental health care.
What we need from you
- Approved tertiary qualifications and registration wtih the Psychology Board via AHPRA
- Minimum 7 years’ clinical experience
- Australian working rights
- Full Covid-19 and 2024 Influenza vaccinations
- Current Victorian Driver's License
- Current Working with Children Check and be willing to undergo a Background Check
