About the Role

Applications are invited for the position of Specialist in Trauma Services (Fractional) at Alfred Health to work 7 hours per week for a fixed term period of 12 months.

Qualifications and Skills Required

Our preferred candidate must possess the following experience and attributes:

  • Appointees must be legally qualified medical practitioners, registered or registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) without conditions, undertakings or reprimands that could impact on their clinical practice
  • Fellowship of the relevant college(s) (FRACS, FACEM, FANZCA or FCICM)
  • Demonstrable relevant knowledge and experience in Trauma, Emergency Medicine, Anaesthesia, Intensive Care Medicine or Surgery
  • Meets Alfred Health requirements for credentialing and scope of practice in Emergency Medicine, Anaesthesia, Intensive Care Medicine or Surgery
  • Demonstrable experience in management of adolescent major trauma
  • Outstanding communication skills, including well-developed conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to liaise well with other staff at all levels
  • Demonstrated flexibility in problem solving and the capability to develop and sustain highly collaborative relationships with others/ other teams
