Are you a compassionate individual and ready to bring skills into a school environment and make a lasting impact on young learners? We’re looking for a dedicated Education Support Officer who’s passionate about supporting students in a specialised school setting.

In this role, you’ll be working closely with primary school-aged students, offering both academic and emotional support alongside our teachers. It’s a unique opportunity to make a difference in the lives of vulnerable students while gaining valuable qualifications. Trials will be conducted for the remaining of 2024 and early 2025, with an official start in Term 1, 2025.

About You:

  • You have excellent communication skills and thrive in supportive roles
  • You’re adaptable under pressure and capable of following instructions and taking initiative
  • Compassionate, patient, and empathetic – you genuinely care about student well-being
  • You’re able to provide physical and emotional support to students
  • You hold a valid Victorian Working with Children Check and are an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • You’re open to attending RTO training in Deer Park during school holidays
  • Ready to commit to a 12-month traineeship

In This Role, You Will:

  • Support teachers in the classroom with planning and student routines
  • Communicate effectively with both teachers and students, helping students understand basic tasks and instructions
  • Assist with behavior management in line with school policies
  • Provide guidance and supervision for individual students or small groups

Location: Watsonia, VIC

This role is a 30-hour workweek, Monday through Friday.
