Education Support Traineeship

Are you compassionate and ready to make a meaningful impact in a secondary school environment? We’re looking for a dedicated Education Support Officer to join a supportive school community, you will be working closely with primary school-aged students, offering both academic and emotional support alongside our teachers. 

What We Offer:

• Certificate III in Education Support: Gain a nationally recognised qualification while working.
• On-the-Job Experience: Work at the school for 12 months, gaining valuable skills and experience.
• Study Leave: Be paid for 8 weeks of study during school holidays.
• Fair Pay: Earn on the national training award rate, with paid annual leave, personal leave, and superannuation included.

Eligibility:

• If you have already completed a Certificate III or higher in Education Support, you are not eligible for this traineeship.
• You must hold a valid Victorian Working with Children Check and be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Your Role:

• Support teachers in planning and daily classroom routines.
• Provide academic and emotional assistance to primary school-aged students.
• Help manage student behavior in line with school policies.
• Work closely with students, offering one-on-one or small group support as needed.

About You:

• Compassionate, patient, and empathetic.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
• Adaptable, able to take initiative, and comfortable following instructions.
• Physically and emotionally capable of supporting students.
• Required to attend training in Deer Park during school holidays.

Details:

• Location: Craigieburn, VIC
• Hours: 30 hours per week, Part Time Monday to Friday
• Start Date: January/February 2025.
