Lab Technician
- Pay Rate: $21.81/hour
- Shifts Available: 8 hour Rotating Swing Shift Days and Nights
- Temporary Contract position with Raise with potential for perm hire with ADM

The Entry Level Laboratory Technician position is designed to train the new technician on one of the four (4) analytical aisles in the QC laboratory. In this role, the technician will:
- Prepare process and/or finished product samples.
- Perform analytical testing using instrumental and wet chemistry procedures.
- Record results using computerized data systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete training on one aisle before transitioning to the Laboratory Technician I position.
- Perform the following tasks while working safely and adhering to department and plant safety policies:
- Complete both plant and laboratory safety orientations.
- Work safely to prevent on-the-job injuries.
- React immediately to eliminate hazards, unsafe equipment, and unsafe acts.
- Ensure any accidents, injuries, and near misses are reported immediately to area supervision.
- Perform at least one laboratory safety audit per month.
- Complete a minimum of three safety engagements each month.
- Demonstrate willingness and ability to work within the time demands of a 24/7/365 operation.
- Exhibit sufficient math skills to perform calculations related to lab testing.
- Show the ability to accept instruction, coaching, and constructive criticism for continuous improvement.
- Demonstrate computer skills.
- Perform other duties as assigned by quality department management.
Skills and Knowledge Requirements:
- A solid understanding of a laboratory environment.
- Working knowledge of cGMP, FDA, and other regulatory requirements.
- Familiarity with laboratory instrumentation, including HPLC, GC, and IC, is beneficial.
- New technicians are certified in each area within 60-90 days of working an aisle alone. Laboratory Technician III and supervision members will oversee and ensure proper training before certification.
Qualifications:
- No previous laboratory experience is required.
- Completion of a college science lab is preferred.
- Experience in lieu of college laboratory experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
