The Role

Adbri Cement is looking for a detail-oriented Laboratory Administration Officer to join our Centralised Laboratory and Cement & Lime Quality team. This role is responsible for supporting the laboratory’s daily administrative functions, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental guidelines, and maintaining accurate records to facilitate smooth laboratory operations.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain training and competency assessment records for laboratory personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE guidelines and support quality system audits.
  • Manage and update laboratory records, worksheets, and compliance reports.
  • Organise laboratory maintenance, calibration services, and contractor inductions.
  • Assist in generating and maintaining laboratory testing KPIs and quality reports.
  • Support the reporting of Cement & Lime quality data to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain document control and oversee laboratory-related approvals and workflows.
  • Procurement & Vendor Coordination:
  • Process purchase orders, service receipting, and maintenance requests in SAP and Fiori.
  • Arrange and track external testing activities, ensuring timely reporting of results.
  • Provide quotations for external testing services and manage invoicing.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance laboratory efficiency.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Participate in Laboratory Management Review meetings and knowledge-sharing sessions.

What You Will Need to Succeed

  • Prior experience in administration, preferably within a laboratory, manufacturing, or industrial setting.
  • Familiarity with SAP, Fiori, and quality management systems is highly regarded.
  • Strong organisational and data management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
