The role

The Facilities Maintenance Planner shall provide planning services through the effective use of the computerised maintenance management system (SAP) for our Birkenhead site. This role also has the important responsibility of providing support to the plant-based maintenance teams at Birkenhead to deliver well planned and coordinated maintenance activities to sustain and improve asset reliability. Assist with building safety related documentation and background data entry for SAP. Assessing and creating work requests and scopes of work to create work orders for scheduling within SAP.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with building safety related documentation and background data entry for SAP.
  • Assess and create work requests and scopes of work to create work orders for scheduling within SAP.
  • Managing maintenance plans in SAP for facility services.
  • Assist the daily and shutdown planners with planning and scheduling for corrective/preventive work orders within SAP.
  • Assist maintenance personnel with the creation of preventive maintenance work instructions using the ISO 55000 standard framework.
  • Attach statutory compliance documents to equipment within SAP.
  • Assist Reliability and Operational Technicians to gain a relatively good working knowledge of SAP (CMMS) to assist with their everyday tasks.
  • Assist with preventive and corrective maintenance optimisation within SAP.
  • Assist to reduce the backlog work orders within SAP.
  • Contractor management for execution of maintenance tasks.

What you will need to succeed

  • Demonstrated experience in maintenance planning within the manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency in using computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS), particularly SAP.
  • Strong understanding of ISO 55000 standards and their application in maintenance planning.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate across different teams and departments.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a strong sense of initiative and self-motivation.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and innovation, with a proactive approach to identifying and implementing process enhancements.
  • A focus on safety and compliance, ensuring adherence to relevant standards and regulations.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Tertiary qualifications or relevant certifications in a related discipline would be advantageous.
  • Supervisory experience with contract service personnel.
