The role

An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and hard-working employee to join our inclusive Adbri Cement Packaged Products and Despatch team.

Located in Birkenhead, this full time position will work predominantly day shift with the ability to work shift work and overtime if required.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload heavy vehicles adhering to “Chain of Responsibility” protocols.
  • Liaising with our Sales department to minimise vehicle loading times and maximise efficiency.
  • Operate and maintain Cement and Drymix bagging machinery, adhering to Safety, Quality and Production requirements.
  • Load and unload materials and products to/from ships.
  • Perform manual physical work on the plant including cleaning.

What you will need to succeed

  • Possess a desire for further career development with a proactive and positive attitude
  • Leadership aspiration
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Hold a current forklift license.
  • Hold a current MSIC permit (desirable)
  • Be physically fit and comfortable when working in confined spaces
  • Have basic computing skills
  • Show initiative and succeed when troubleshooting and problem solving
  • Demonstrate an ability to work as part of a team
  • Previous fast paced manufacturing experience (desirable)
  • A willingness to work shift work and overtime as required.
