The role

An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and hard-working employee to join our inclusive Adbri Cement Production team in the Barossa.

As a member of the Production team you will work day shift, with relief shift work as required.

We offer a very attractive hourly wage in accordance with the Angaston collective agreement and the opportunity to develop your career with an established, market leading ASX listed Australian company.

We will invest in your training and development, providing the opportunity to obtain additional licences if you demonstrate the desire and aspiration to grow with us.

Responsibilities

  • Perform manual physical work on the plant including labouring and cleaning
  • HSE identification and reporting
  • Basic care checklists and equipment condition monitoring
  • Operate machinery
  • Operates bagging and palletising packaging equipment including basic care
  • Provide relief to shift operations where required
  • Undertake training to obtain additional licences necessary for the role

What you will need to succeed

  • Be willing to learn new skills and engage positively with training
  • Exhibit a strong commitment to environment, quality, health, safety, and wellbeing
  • Possess a desire for further career development with a proactive and positive attitude
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Hold, or be willing to undertake training to obtain required licenses such as HR, forklift, Gantry Crane, Front-end-loader, and/or skid steer licenses
  • Be physically fit and comfortable when working in confined spaces
  • Have basic computing skills
  • Show initiative and succeed when troubleshooting and problem solving
  • Demonstrate an ability to work as part of a team
