The role 

Under the guidance of the Health and Safety Business Partner, the Health and Safety Advisor will play a key role in supporting our Cement & Lime Operations across SA/NT/NSW. 

This position involves delivering crucial information, training, and H&S advice to Managers, Supervisors, Team Leaders, and Health and Safety Representatives. The aim is to ensure that our organisation meets its health and safety objectives and obligations effectively.

This role offers some flexibility to work from home when required.

Responsibilities 

  • Support the development and implementation of Adbri's Work Safe, Home Safe program and strategies to drive continuous improvement in H&S performance.
  • Undertake regular planned site visits to any of our 6 operational sites in SA, NT, and NSW to an agreed schedule, communicate observations and areas of focus.
  • Ensure advice and support is provided that allows compliance with HSE legislation, codes of practice and standards.
  • Ensure that responsible HSE training records are maintained, and programs reviewed against strategic plan.

What you will need to succeed 

  • Recognised occupational health and safety qualification (minimum Diploma level)
  • Formal qualifications and experience in WHS Auditing
  • Training experience/qualifications (e.g. Cert IV Training and Assessment)
  • Qualifications in incident investigation (e.g. ICAM)
  • 3 years or more in a similar position
  • Exposure to heavy manufacturing or similar industries
