The role

As the FNQ (Far North Queensland) Sales Manager, based in Cairns, you will be responsible for high performance standards, driving accountability and results across Cairns, Townsville and Mackay offices while ensuring you help nurture a culture of collaboration and clear communication.

Critical to your success will be a sound understanding of the Retail and Commercial segments in each of these regions with a general understanding of the building industry.

Working within established guidelines and support from the National Marketing team, you'll have a hands-on role in representing Adbri Masonry in the residential and commercial building markets and with established retail partners.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to strategic development and sales budgets for the region
  • Assess the North Queensland market and develop and execute strategies to optimise opportunities
  • Analyse sales and profitability within new and existing markets and market segments
  • Lead and coach your team to ensure sales targets and customer service standards are met
  • Successfully negotiate all elements of the customer relationship, ensuring consistency in all dealings
  • Manage the portfolio of Customers within the Cairns region including Commercial, Residential and Resellers
  • Day to day requirements within a busy branch (Cairns) with staff onsite assisting with these duties
  • Ensure safety, health and environment standards are maintained.

What you will need to succeed

  • Demonstrated success in a sales management role, ideally within the building industry
  • Skills to develop, implement and execute strategic business plans
  • Proven ability to work independently within an established business framework
  • A strong focus on customer satisfaction
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare and present clear and concise reports
  • Exceptional communication and people skills.
  • Ability to negotiate effectively and rationalise a sound value proposition.
  • An enthusiastic, proactive and diligent approach to meeting customers' needs.
  • Intermediate computer literacy using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint (essential) and experience with SAP (preferred)
