The role

We currently have an opportunity for a self-motivated, experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join our supportive team. Based at our Birkenhead SA operations office.

This full-time fixed term role will be covering a 14 month maternity leave, and will see you assisting in the day to day processing of creditors invoices/payments along with resolving customer queries both internally & externally.

Responsibilities

  • Improve process and procedures, with a mindset of curiosity for what could be changed for the better
  • Perform end to end Accounts Payable function including OCR technology
  • Processing of high volume invoices in three-way matching
  • Assisting with monthly reporting
  • Reconciling supplier statements
  • Excellent and effective communication skills with external and internal stakeholders
  • Ability to learn new skills and work within a busy team environment
  • Discipline in following procedures and processes

What you will need to succeed

  • Good communication & interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with external and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong sense of self-motivation, ability to work in a team and autonomously.
  • Proactive attitude, problem solving skills and willingness to go the extra mile will see you excel in this position
  • Demonstrated experience in SAP or other larger ERP systems
  • Excellent reconciliation skills, and keen eye for detail
  • Intermediate skills in the use of MS Excel and Outlook
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role is advantageous
