The role

The Claims and Injury Management Specialist provides specialist advice, programs and plans that lead to the successful return to work of injured workers; and the management of workers compensation claims on behalf of Adbri.

Responsibilities

  • Build and facilitate collaborative relationships with key staff, stakeholder representatives, external partners, and regulators to identify and develop return to work programs and plans.
  • Manage challenging relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • RTW and/or IMP Planning development all states completed within the Adbri Injury Management Standard of three days of date of injury.
  • Coordination of Case Conferences with rehabilitation or recovery providers that meets the legislative requirements for each state.
  • Support the Manager Health, Wellbeing, and Injury Management in preparing scheduled reporting to internal and external stakeholders which include Adbri’s Early Intervention Program (Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly) and Workers Compensation (Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly).
  • Work through issues, weigh up alternatives and identify the most effective solutions in collaboration with others.
  • Maintain all EAP, claims & injury management documentation and associated systems (Solv & Cintellate), with all mandatory information to ensure compliance with legislative and self-insurance requirements and ensuring new claim data is entered within three days of incident notification, as per the Adbri Injury Management Standard.
  • Provide support to all internal stakeholders to ensure they achieve quality RTW outcomes in a timely manner in compliance with RTW legislation, regulations, and standards.

What you will need to succeed

  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in injury and claims management, and self-insured workers compensation schemes.
  • Experience in a similar industry is desirable.
  • Experience in South Australian workers compensation legislation.
  • Experience in WA workers compensation legislation (desirable).
  • Experience coordination claims in other state and territory jurisdictions managed by third-party administrators (TPA).
  • Experience managing individual return to work plans.
  • Working knowledge of injury management claims platforms.
  • Project Management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills.
