As we continue our growth and refine our service offering, we currently have an opportunity to lead our National Sustainability business.

As Service Line Leader - Sustainability, you'll form part of the national leadership team and be responsible for growing and developing our Sustainability consulting business. You'll lead an established, national team of sustainability professionals with strong project pipelines and industry brand. We'll be looking to you to provide the strategic direction and operational support to ensure we are delivering exceptional client outcomes and rewarding careers for our employees.

 

About the Role

While the scope of this role is broad and every day will be different, we are looking for someone who can:

 

  • Develop a service line strategy implementation plan which directly supports the ACOR Strategy
  • Work in close coordination with the other service lines and leaders to manage pipeline, and ensure sufficient capability and capacity is available to meet the needs of our clients for the successful delivery of all projects. 
  • Match service line capability to forecast workload, balancing utilisation and recovery within an acceptable range. 
  • Develop and build consulting and technical capability in the service line to meet short and long-term business needs
  • Create and manage strategic resource plans (succession plan, development plan, recruitment plan, capability/capacity plan). 
  • Be ACOR’s representative in the marketplace as a leader in the delivery of services.
  • Work with our Corporate Sustainability Leader on internal sustainability initiatives 

 

About You 

To be considered for this opportunity it's anticipated you'll have:

 

  • Demonstrable experience leading teams and extensive design experience within an engineering consultancy or associated industry
  • Relevant formal qualifications from a recognised tertiary institution
  • A proven track record of project excellence and strong commercial acumen
  • Excellent understanding of Green Star and NABERS requirements and emerging trends in ESD
  • Strong leadership qualities with proven ability to work collaboratively and mentor others
  • The ability to communicate on a technical and project level with clients, staff and management
