Our Western Sydney office is looking for an experienced Senior Process Engineer (Energy sector). As a Senior Process Engineer, you will have core aptitudes in risk assessment, fuel systems design and client presentation.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the business by undertaking professional engineering work in the areas of Energy, petrochemical and dangerous goods
- Good understanding of energy, petrochemical and mechanical disciplines
- Acting as the organisation’s technical reference authority in your field of professional engineering
- Initiating and participating in short-range or long-range planning
- Taking detailed technical responsibility for product development and provision of specialised engineering systems, facilities and functions
- Being capable of making responsible decisions independently and deciding courses of action necessary to expedite the successful accomplishment of assigned projects
- Managing projects that include design, specification and reporting in coordination with company and client procedures.
- Provide technical direction, oversight and management of both engineering and design projects
- Site based inspections, engineering and commission services to internal and external projects
- Developing and assisting less experienced engineers in engineering, control techniques and other technical areas
- Working with the quality management system to ensure that client needs are understood and met
- Evaluating and optimising the preferred solution which can affect requirements and the project’s scope, time, cost and quality objectives
You will have:
- Previous design experience within an engineering consultancy or equivalent
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Plant 3D
- Site induction training card (white card)
- Good understanding of energy, mechanical, electrical and control disciplines
- Experience with industrial plant and piping design
- A strong working knowledge with a range of design software packages
- Strong design and/or project management skills
- Strong leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across and down multiple business and technology organizations
- Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
- Strong technical and client management skills, including a professional approach
