As an Energy & Piping Designer, you will support the success of ACOR, both locally and on a national level across our Energy discipline.

The ideal candidate will possess pipework and associated infrastructure modelling capabilities and have exposure to petrochemical or related industries.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Produce 3D design projects from tender and concept to detailed design, in accordance with Australian standards and authority codes
  • Ensure that accurate drawing and registration systems are produced according to supplied specifications and applicable standards, internal and external.
  • Liaise with internal & external stakeholders
  • Supporting the core drafting team inhouse as required, in the capacity of design draftsperson
  •  Attending meetings and providing data and input to management as required
  •  Actively participating in supporting and improving the ACOR petrochemical and dangerous goods offered companywide

Skills & Experience

  •  Strong 3D modelling capabilities in pipework and associated infrastructure
  •  Well-developed technical engineering skills, with exposure to projects
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Plant3D
  • Computer skills in areas outside of CAD, i.e. Word Processing, Excel and Outlook
  • Understanding of standards and legislation across disciplines
  • The ability to work unsupervised and complete drawings from a design brief.
  • The ability to conduct client meetings & on-site measures for presentations if requested.
  • Excellent commercial construction knowledge imperative
