About the role

Due to our continued growth and relationships with long term key clients, ACOR is seeking a self-motivated Design Manager to support the delivery of projects. Working as part of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for ensuring effective project execution across multidisciplinary works within our Adelaide office.

Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Provide technical direction, oversight and management of both engineering and design projects
  • Conduct site-based inspections, engineering, and commission services to internal and external projects
  • Ensure exceptional client experience through client engagement & communication
  • Provide engineering assessment, design, and documentation of a high level within time, cost, and quality expectations
  • Demonstrate sound judgement and technically accurate and feasible project management, engineering and consultation solutions with minimal review
  • Provide original contribution or applying new professional project management and engineering approaches and techniques to the design or development of projects and solutions
  • Consulting, recommending, and advising in specialty project management and engineering areas

Skills and experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Engineering or other Building related discipline
  • Certifications in Project Management also highly regarded
  • Proven capabilities in Project and Design Management
  • End to end Project delivery experience across multidisciplinary scopes of work
  • High level written and Verbal communication skills teamed with a professional personal presentation
  • Consulting experience with the Department of Defence would be desirable
  • A strong working knowledge with a range of project management and design software packages, data management systems and auditing
  • Design Management experience is preferred

Due to the nature of our projects, the successful candidate must be an Australian Citizen and eligible for Baseline Security Clearance.
