The Opportunity
As a Mechanical Project Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and delivery of projects across sectors including health, commercial, education, defence, and sports and recreation.
This role is suited to an engineer looking to take the next step in their career, building on strong technical foundations while developing project leadership capabilities. You will work across multiple projects, contributing to design delivery, engaging with clients and consultants, and supporting the successful delivery of outcomes from concept through to completion.
You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contribute to solving complex challenges, and continue developing your skills in a supportive and dynamic consulting environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Support the design and delivery of mechanical services projects across a range of sectors
- Manage your own project tasks or components to meet time, budget and quality objectives
- Prepare and contribute to technical documentation including drawings, reports and specifications
- Coordinate with internal teams, clients and stakeholders to support project outcomes
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to team capability and knowledge sharing
Skills & Experience
You will bring experience in mechanical building services within a consulting environment, along with the ability to contribute effectively to project delivery while continuing to develop as an engineer. You are comfortable working across multiple projects and collaborating with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
A degree in Mechanical Engineering is required, along with progress towards professional registration. You will have a solid understanding of the NCC and relevant Australian Standards, as well as experience using industry design tools and software.
Strong communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities are essential. You will also bring a proactive approach to learning, a collaborative mindset and a desire to build your career in a professional consulting environment.
