Position Summary

This position is responsible for the management and delivery of fire and multi-disciplinary projects (as per level of experience) for key clients and major projects in key sectors. They will be responsible for Fire Services engineering designs and continuing to build client relationships.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Fire services design and analysis
  • Taking responsibility for the internal management and delivery of allocated projects
  • Understanding, identifying and proactively managing project risks
  • Coordinating requirements between other disciplines (both internally and externally) and performing checks of documents and drawings of other disciplines
  • Attending and leading ACOR Fire Services representation in project design meetings with client teams
  • Participating in design and safety reviews, and risk assessments
  • Participating in construction support activities including responses to requests for information (RFIs), submittal reviews, construction site visits, and design revisions/management of change
  • Assisting in the development of systems/standards for Fire Services within the ACOR Group
  • Supporting and mentoring junior staff

Primary

  • Coordinating and managing members of the project team
  • Coordinating multi-disciplinary building services designs
  • Preparing project building services specifications
  • Respectfully liaising and coordinating with clients and ACOR staff
  • Participating in design documentation reviews internal and external to the office
  • Assisting with project specific workload as required
  • Developing system/standards for Fire Services within ACOR Group
  • Attending project Revit/BIM coordination meetings
  • Supporting and mentoring drafting staff

Secondary

  • Developing markets, contacts and clients to expand the ACOR offer and client base
  • Developing and improving existing client relationships and delivery strategies
  • Seeking and developing new clients and opportunities
  • Assisting in the development of delivery strategies to develop and expand markets

Jointly responsible for the leadership, guidance and mentoring of employees within the Group to meet the ACOR Group Objectives


Qualifications

  • University engineering degree or equivalent, recognised by Engineers Australia
  • Eligible for membership of Engineers Australia
  • Site induction training card (white card)
  • Australian Citizen


Experience & Technical Skills

Minimum 8+ years professional experience in consulting engineering or related fields
