About the Role

In this key leadership role, you will oversee the effective functioning of the Placement Officer Teams for Brisbane & Perth. This position is integral to driving team performance, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration, and performing as a Placement Officer when required.

Key Accountabilities will include:

  • Team Leadership and KPI Management - Manage and drive the achievement of KPIs for the Placement Officer team, including 100% compliance and constant increase in the placement per Placement Officer ratio
  • Issue Resolution and Student Support- Effectively address escalated student issues related to placements; Collaborate with Placement Officers to identify & resolve students’ challenges
  • Induction, Onboarding & Professional Development- Lead team induction and onboarding processes for new Placement Officers; Provide ongoing training, coaching and mentoring to enhance performance.
  • Workload Management and Resource Allocation- Effectively manage the workload across the national placement team
  • Placement Officer Responsibilities - Proactively assume the role of a Placement Officer for any region as necessary or when directed by the National Placement Manage.
  • Execute Placement Duties: Perform key placement responsibilities, which encompass matching students to suitable opportunities, conducting interviews, overseeing the placement process, and ensuring strict adherence to AE’s placement policies

About you

  • Diploma or Degree in Community Service or a related field.
  • Proven leadership experience and capabilities.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in education or customer service.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with InPlace or similar placement management systems.
  • Commitment to maintaining compliance with regulatory bodies.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Willingness to undergo training on new systems and technologies.
