About the Role

As Course Coordinator for the Community Service Programs, you will manage the successful ongoing delivery of the Bachelor of Social Work programs by overseeing academic staffing matters, coordinating program delivery, and ensuring a student-centric experience. 

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Develop curriculum, deliver courses, and assess students.
  • Ensure programs meet industry standards and high-quality outcomes.
  • Mentor teaching staff and conduct performance appraisals.
  • Manage daily operations, including timetabling and resource allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with academic policies and procedures; Maintain accreditation and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in program reviews and updates and prepare reports for academic committees.

About You

  • Ideally, you will hold a PhD degree in social work or related welfare discipline, such as social work, counselling, psychology, or similar, with years of industry experience. (PhD Preferred, Masters Acceptable)
  • Proven hands-on leadership experience with excellent program administration and organisational skills.
  • Preferably you will also hold or be willing to complete a TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. 
  • Proven experience in academic leadership roles, preferably within an education setting, demonstrating the ability to inspire, motivate, and mentor staff.
  • Familiarity with relevant education policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Experience in maintaining academic quality and ensuring compliance with accreditation standards.
  • You will be an experienced and passionate academic professional with a strong background in community services education, proven track record in curriculum development, teaching, and program coordination, with strong ability to manage both academic and operational aspects of educational programs.
