About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Nursing /Course Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of high-quality simulation-based education within our Nursing Program.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensure lab functionality: Maintain equipment and ensure all facilities are properly equipped and in working order.
  • Safety protocols: Develop and implement safety procedures to create a secure lab environment.
  • Educational coordination: Coordinate lab schedules and activities, working closely with the nursing course coordinator.
  • Curriculum development: Develop, implement, and evaluate assessment tasks and training materials for lab sessions.
  • Standards compliance: Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements such as ANMAC and ASQA.
  • Resource management: Research vendors, manage supply costs, order stock, and oversee inventory management.
  • Operational support: Address daily operational issues, provide technical assistance, and deliver high-quality teaching and academic support to students; Attend divisional meetings as needed to provide information and gather information on current and future needs of faculty in support of clinical learning activities

About You

  • Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
  • TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent OR a diploma or higher-level qualification in adult education.
  • Minimum of 5+ years' experience of practice in nursing/Teaching/ lab coordination.
  • At least 20 hours of continuing professional development each year.
  • Willing to acquire a current Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; Organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Great understanding of the requirements of the VET, RTO standards
  • Familiar with ANMAC assessing and auditing process to ensure that the lab meets the requirements and is compliant with the standards
  • Experience working with international students in the delivery and assessment of vocational education and training.
  • Proficient in the use of learning management systems such as Moodle
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications
