About the Role

The VCE Coordinator is responsible for managing and supporting the delivery of the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) program to ensure student success and compliance with curriculum standards. The role involves providing leadership and guidance to VCE teachers, monitoring student progress, and fostering a positive learning environment. The VCE Coordinator collaborates with staff, students, and parents to ensure the smooth implementation of VCE policies and practices. Key responsibilities include curriculum planning, teacher support, student well-being, and administrative oversight of assessment and reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities include:

  1. Program Management: Oversee the planning, delivery, and compliance of the VCE curriculum.
  2. Student Support: Monitor academic progress, provide guidance, and address concerns.
  3. Teacher Support: Assist VCE teachers with resources, curriculum updates, and professional development.
  4. Assessment Oversight: Manage assessments, including SACs (School-Assessed Coursework) and exams, ensuring adherence to VCAA (Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority) guidelines.
  5. Policy Compliance: Ensure the school meets VCAA requirements and deadlines.
  6. Parent Communication: Liaise with parents about student progress, requirements, and support strategies.
  7. Data Analysis: Analyze results to identify areas for improvement in teaching and student performance.

About You

Qualifications

  1. Teaching Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Education or equivalent.
  2. VIT Registration: Current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).

Experience

  1. Demonstrated experience teaching VCE subjects.
  2. Leadership or coordination experience in a school setting is highly desirable.
