Job Responsibilities

• Possesses demonstrated work experience as established by engineering organizations, employers and licensing authorities for employment in the various disciplines of engineering; Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Electromechanical, and Design.
• Candidates best suited for this position will typically have obtained a Bachelor's degree and 0-2 years of experience in a related field or a suitable combination of experience and education relative to the position.
• Execute Instrument Refresh activities which includes Instrument: i. Instrument decontamination, Instrument Hardware installations, Instrument Software installations, and Assay Run/Final Verifications
• Support of internal instrument systems used for design and development of Abbott Molecular Products, design.
• Participates in projects involving support and service of assigned products.
• Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system.
• Conducts technical training for assigned products.
• Creates, updates, and maintains technical documentation.
• Provides problem resolution for worldwide technical product support.
• Develops and/or provides input into Field Service tools for use in the field to service Abbott Molecular instrumentation.
• Estimated onsite and subsequent travel time to average approximately 25% of total time, though this can increase significantly at times of elevated activity.
