In this role, you'll spearhead the development of dynamic data interrogation products—think dashboards, interactive reports, and captivating visualisations—that empower both our SOC team and our customers to unravel complex cyber security data in a refreshingly clear and engaging way. You'll be the driving force behind creating and delivering high-impact, real-time cyber security insights that help shape strategic decisions and safeguard our digital landscape.

In this role, your main responsibilities are:

  • Architect & Innovate: Build a state-of-the-art cyber security reporting framework that aligns with AARNet’s strategic vision and the latest industry best practices.
  • Lead & Inspire: Mentor and empower a team of talented cyber security engineers and data scientists to collect, analyse, and visualise data that drives our insights.
  • Drive Strategy: Own the full lifecycle of our data insights products—from gathering requirements and setting roadmaps to executing work plans and delivering results.
  • Measure Impact: Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) that highlight the effectiveness of our cyber security services and incident response efforts.
  • Tell the Story: Produce and present regular and ad-hoc reports that demystify complex topics such as security posture, threat landscapes, incident responses, and vulnerability management.
  • Collaborate & Evolve: Work cross-functionally to extract insights and continuously refine our reporting processes, keeping us ahead of industry trends and best practices.

  • Technical Savvy: Deep understanding of cyber security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS, MITRE ATT&CK) coupled with hands-on experience using data analysis and visualisation tools.
