The Role

The Coordinator, Field Operations oversees and coordinates AARNet’s Infrastructure Group field resources across Australia. You will collaborate closely with the Field Operations Manager, Field operatives and other project staff to connect day-today field objectives with broader delivery goals for telecommunications construction projects that range in size, complexity and location.

Drawing on experience leading and/or coordinating staff, you will demonstrate excellent organisational & critical thinking skills as you support the smooth management of daily field operational activities.

Your strong interpersonal skills and effective communication strategies will allow you to act as a crucial central point of contact for tactical field operations across the wider Infrastructure group, as you play an integral part in building the next generation of telecommunications network.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with the team Managers and project staff to develop a comprehensive understanding of requirements, objectives and key milestones both within specific projects & across the broader infrastructure works program.
  • Continually evaluate tactical project requirements against resource capabilities to support successful delivery objectives including efficiency, effectiveness & safety.
  • Collaborate with field operatives to coordinate, plan & communicate work assignments, effectively responding to & resolving challenges and changes in schedules, assignments, and/or requirements.
  • Where required and with the guidance of the Field Operations manager, act as a point of escalation for field-based project issues. Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, clearly communicating requirements, expectations & solutions to field operatives and back into Project staff
  • Support field reporting activities by assisting with data & documentation processing and updating project systems.
  • Coordinate all field service personnel
  • Assist with the development, implementation & ongoing maintenance of systems, processes and policies utilised by field operatives including but not limited to technology, safety protocols, company vehicle use, remote travel & training standards
  • Maintain resource schedules, records, WHS and compliance documentation accurately.
  • Support the Manager of Field Operations with SHEQ reporting, incident investigations and general process improvement activities
